The New Mexico Genealogist is planning a special issue for its December 2005 journal.
Entitled "Honoring Our Native American Heritage," we are seeking submissions for this issue, including the following:

. research techniques or procedures using records especially devoted to Native Americans, as well as accounts and case studies of how these types of records can solve genealogical problems; or discussions of repositories holding especially significant collections of Native American materials of interest to genealogists.

. a genealogical study of a specific Native American or Native American family with ties to New Mexico; or of a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic family including a Native American element.

. abstracts of records pertaining to New Mexico's Native Americans such as census or school records. Please refer to our instruction letter, "Submitting Articles for Publication in NMG" for further information regarding submissions.

Materials for consideration in this special issue must be submitted to our editor no later than 01 September 2005. For further information or questions, or to discuss your proposed project, please contact Genealogist editor Karen Stein Daniel, CGSM.
