The tutor's claims to the modern school or "The teacher said to memorize"

What should be the ideal school? No one knows. The needs of parents, children and teachers are very different. The school should have an individual approach, there should not be grades and “learn by heart” assignments. Would you like to go to such a school? The more I advise parents, the deeper the feeling becomes that parents - outwardly adults and adequate people - inside remain the same little children, shy from school and teachers. How else to explain that parents constantly agree that their children do not study enough, do not memorize the rules well, and with other, not always true, statements of school workers? Parents do not see how their children are learning or do not know how to help them. I tried to help in every way, but when I gave them the opportunity to use the resource which specializes in writing papers. This contributed to the fact that the children began to do homework and studied better. I would like to reassure parents and give a few statements that can make life very, very easier and reduce the eternal nervousness in families about school. Ratings are too biased Evaluation, in fact, is needed for the pro forma, to confirm the performance of the teacher. In rare cases, it can be an indicator of the progress or regression of the student - this is possible only if the teacher is objective and interested in each child. Most often, assessment is the result of a profanation of the learning process.Since, when grading, the teacher is guided by average statistical subjective norms: 3 mistakes - a “troika” and that’s it. And if before that the child made 10 mistakes in such work? For him, this is a huge progress! But this can be achieved when the child uses and learns how to write written papers correctly. Thus, it will contribute to success in school. Teachers don't explain Too often, teachers have come to play the role of certain speakers of information without a feedback function. Meanwhile, at least half of the children in the class need a personal approach with constant conversation and discussion of the progress of work. And what kind of learning process is this, in which there is no right to make a mistake, there is no opportunity to independently come to a conclusion, there is no time for reflection and self-examination? A process in which the teacher's role was reduced to two functions: reading material and punitive control. But if they were also given the opportunity to work with then success would be obvious. Now this is not the case and questions arise: Where is the work on the bugs with explanations and their own examples? Where "who has what questions?" not for show, but to explain? None of this has been in school for a long time. Do not understand, but cramming This point worries me the most. Children are forced to learn verbatim entire paragraphs on history and geography, all the rules in Russian! Because the rules must be taught. Who needs it? In whose inflamed brain did the suspicion crept in that it was not necessary to understand? To apply a rule, it must be understood.See its structure and practical application. After all, a rule is a help, a summary of the essence. And if the essence does not change from changing the word, why can’t it be said in other words? Do not allow children to learn the rules without understanding - this will cause irreparable damage to their desire to learn new things.
