NMGS is dedicated to preserving New Mexico Records
In keeping with our Dedication to preserve New Mexico records, the Society publishes information in as nearly an exact reproduction of the original record as possible. If the extraction is from microfilm, frame numbers are provided if available. Indexes prepared for the complete book. The manuscript is then given a final proofreading against the originating record – one more step to insure accuracy.
We are committed to maintaining quality in our publishing.
In keeping with our Commitment to Quality in all our publications, the Society publishes information in as nearly an exact reproduction of the original record as possible. Book extractions done over the years were accomplished with the equipment available at the time.
As with all publications, especially those done in earlier years, you should review the microfilm for verification.
As technology has improved, the size of monitors allow for records to be clearer. In fact, we can now save records and bring them home on a thumb drive to review, expanding them in size to read the letters clearly.
We make information available for our members and researchers.
The New Mexico Genealogical Society has a long history of abstracting, translating and making information available for their members and researchers.
All our books are available on Amazon.com; those books are noted in bold on the book list.
